Salve Regina :
V. Hail, holy Queen,
R. Mother
of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor
banished children of Eve; to thee do we send forth our sighs, mourning and
weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn,
then, O most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this
our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O
clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for
us, O holy Mother of God,
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of
Christ.
(On the first lone bead)
The Memorare:
V. Remember,
R. O
most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy
protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother.
To thee do we come; before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the
Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer
us. Amen.
(On
the three beads, repeat the following three times...)
Holy God:
V. Holy God,
Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
R. have mercy on us, and on the whole world.
(On the second lone bead)
Prayer After the
Rosary:
V. O God,
R. Whose
only-begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us
the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating upon
these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may
imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ,
our Lord. Amen.
V. May the
divine assistance remain always with us.
R. And may the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
(On the Crucifix)
Sign of the
Cross:
In the Name of the Father, and of
the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
[In the event you are saying the
full Rosary (either the traditional 3 sets of mysteries or St John Paul II's 4
sets of mysteries, or some set known only to you), after the 5th mystery's O
Sweet Jesus, say the Chaplet (Eternal Father) on the centerpiece, and continue
on around the Rosary - only when you've finished saying the Rosary prayers do
you then go down the short strand to the Crucifix.]
Prayers for the Pope and his intentions:
Our Father...
Hail Mary...
The Glory Be...
